Fixed Smoke and Fire Barriers

Fixed Smoke or Fire Curtain
A fixed curtain remains in place; its purpose can be smoke containment or fire separation, depending on its evidence.
State the boundary function before choosing the fabric. Show top and side fixings, lower-edge restraint and each service crossing. For smoke control, include the reservoir depth; for fire separation, identify the required class and the evidence covering the full construction.
Design
A fixed smoke barrier defines part of a smoke reservoir and is coordinated with extraction and replacement air. A fixed fire barrier serves a fire-separating function only where the complete construction has suitable evidence. These are different design duties. The static barrier itself has no deployment motor or backup battery. Service penetrations need designed junctions; cutting around a duct or cable tray without an assessed detail can break the barrier.
The fixed barrier requires no deployment power.
What are the Uses?
Used at permanent smoke reservoir boundaries or fixed fire-separating lines where the documented barrier is appropriate to the required duty.

Box
There are two boxes, small and large, in curtain construction. It is made of galvanized steel sheet with a thickness of 1.5 mm. The box is closed with a lid on both sides. The dimensions of the box depend on the dimensions of the closed span.
