A hinged fire gate closes across an opening using one or more leaves that swing clear during normal use.
Keep the swing area clear of storage and vehicle routes. A wicket door or panic fitting changes the assembly and must be included in its evidence. Check clear passage and escape requirements separately from the overall structural opening.
Operating Principle
Selection starts with the space occupied by the leaves throughout their swing. In a held-open arrangement, the approved alarm signal releases the hold-open device and the closer moves the leaves to their required position. Confirm the closing hardware, leaf order, latching and response to power loss for the actual assembly. Fire resistance and smoke leakage are separate performance declarations.
